LEGO® Minifigure Condition Guide
At Bricks & Figures, every used LEGO® minifigure is checked before it is listed for sale. We look closely at the areas most likely to show play wear or damage, including the head and printing, torso, arms and hands, hips, legs, feet and heels.
Select an inspection point below to see what we look for and examples of common condition issues. Any notable play wear or damage we find will be shown in the product photos or mentioned in the description.
It’s also worth keeping in mind that LEGO® parts can have small manufacturing or handling marks, including marks caused by pieces moving against each other inside sealed bags. These can be present even on brand-new parts. Our condition checks are focused on marks and damage associated with used play wear, so minor manufacturing marks may still be present.
Head & print
We inspect the head for scratches, dents, bite marks, discolouration and worn, faded or chipped facial printing.
Example: print wear or surface damage on a used head.
Torso
We check the torso closely for side cracks, neck damage, scratches, colour changes and wear to the front or back printing.
Example: a hairline torso crack or worn print.
Arms & hands
We look for cracks around the wrists, stress marks, chips, mismatched colours and arms or hands that feel unusually loose or stiff.
Example: Surface marks and wear on the arm.
Legs
We test both legs for smooth movement and check for cracks, deep scratches, print wear, looseness and uneven colour.
Example: Discolouration compared with the original colour of the part.
Swing Marks
We examine the area beneath the arms for swing marks caused by excessive play.
Example: Swing marks and surface wear on the side of the torso.
